Comedy Begins Production Following the Success of One of the Year’s Biggest Viral Video Hits; TV Legend Jerry Mathers Joins Ensemble Cast

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Following the success of one of the summer’s biggest viral video sensations “Dads Respond to Disney’s ‘Frozen’”, it was announced today that Ryan O’Quinn will be starring in a television series inspired by the characters in the video. Jerry Mathers has signed on as a series regular to play O’Quinn’s father. The series is tentatively titled “Dad Dudes”.

Bradley Dorsey (“God’s Not Dead”, “Revelation Road”, “Meant to Be”) will executive produce and also star.

O’Quinn (@ryanoquinn), Dorsey (@bradleydorsey) and Todd Wilkerson will headline the series that revolves around the lives of three “dad dudes” and their families in suburban Los Angeles. Mathers, Joyce Giraud, Tracy Melchior and Kelsey Crane round out the cast as regulars. “I’m thrilled to be working with such a talented cast and crew on a great family series,” Mathers said.

The “Dad Dudes” brand of humor found in the everyday situations dads encounter inspired one of the summer’s biggest viral video hits with millions of views earning world-wide media coverage from outlets including The Today Show, Good Morning America, Fox News, People and Access Hollywood.

The creative team of real life dads behind the video will be reunited for the production of the single camera comedy that will follow the characters as they navigate the nuances of being dads first and dudes second.

Marshal Younger has penned the pilot script and Matthew Reithmayr will direct.  Production began on November 1st.
